M&R Foods is the seller, so we are responsible for the goods matching the agreed specification. If they don't, you deal with us, not with the producer.

Inspection before shipment

Someone from M&R Foods inspects the goods in Egypt before loading.

  • Quantity, packaging and labels against the specification
  • Product condition: defects, size or cut
  • Product temperature for frozen goods
  • Container condition and reefer set point

Written specification

Every order starts with a specification agreed with you. All later checks are made against it.

Producer checks

M&R Foods in Egypt visits producers before buying from them and checks that their certificates are valid, for example IFS Food, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, and GlobalG.A.P. for farms. If your supplier approval requires a certification, we only use producers that hold it.

Laboratory testing

Accredited laboratories (ISO/IEC 17025) test samples per shipment or on request, as agreed in the specification: pesticide residues against EU maximum levels, and microbiology such as Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes and E. coli.

Independent inspection

At your request, an independent inspection company checks the goods before shipment, for example SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek.

EU rules

Checked against EU food law before we quote.

Before we quote, we check the product against the EU rules that apply to it. If a product cannot meet them, we tell you.

Contact M&R Foods in Germany with the lot number and photos. We investigate with the producer.
